What Information is Collected and How It’s Used
Upon visiting the Website, your browser automatically sends Streamads your IP-address, the type of browser you are using and certain other information. Streamads may use this information for research and marketing purposes and to enhance the Website. When individuals request other information from Streamads, personal information, including first and last name, company name, e-mail address, telephone number and the industry, in which your company operates, might be requested. You are not required to provide Streamads with this personal information; however, certain publications and other requested information potentially cannot be sent to you without it. There may be features on the Website allowing you to contact Streamads via e-mail, which provides Streamads with your e-mail address and certain other personal information contained in the e-mail. By sending Streamads e-mail, you demonstrate your consent to knowingly and voluntarily provide us with personal information. Streamads will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose personally identifiable information to any third party, unless stated otherwise in this Policy, required by law, or as required to protect Streamads’s rights. Streamads may disclose information collected from the Website to its various offices across the world. However, they are only allowed to use the information collected on the Website for internal purposes. The visitor database is subject to the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act.
To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
In the course of serving ads to our partners, Streamads may place or recognize cookies on your computer in order to bring to you more relevant video ad campaigns and to guarantee a maximum number of views of a same campaign in a given amount of time.
We use our own cookies to recognize a user when visiting a partner website in order to deliver the most pertinent video ads. Those two-letter named cookies (such as “tt”) are Streamads cookies. Streamads uses a “tt_viewer” cookie to help personalize the video ads you see on our partner websites. Two more cookies might be created by our partner websites in order to include or exclude you (in the case where you’ve already seen an ad, for instance) from an advertising campaign. Their names start by “tt_in” or “tt_ex”.
Third party cookies
In addition to our own cookies, we work with various reputable companies to help us deliver the best possible experience. Streamads may use publicly available information or information provided by partners to help customize some of the video ads you see. As an example, Weborama is a third party partner allowing us to achieve some of these goals by refining targeting.
How to control cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
